What we do

The NT's peak body for AOD services

Supporting stronger services for a stronger AOD sector.

AADANT, the Association of Alcohol & Other Drug Agencies NT, works to strengthen the organisations and people who deliver AOD services across the Territory.

We do this through research and policy work that shapes practice and informs Government, workforce development that builds the skills and confidence of sector workers through training, webinars and shared resources, and a range of tools and learning opportunities exclusively for our members.

Alongside this, we bring the sector together through our flagship conference, sector awards and events throughout the year.

Every part of what we do is guided by one goal: supporting stronger services for a stronger AOD sector.

Research & Policy

AADANT's research and policy work gives the NT AOD sector a stronger voice in the conversations that shape it. We track the evidence, respond to government consultations, and translate policy shifts into practical guidance for member organisations, so sector workers spend less time chasing what's changed and more time delivering care.

Workforce Development

A skilled, supported workforce is the backbone of good AOD service delivery. Through webinars, training and shared clinical resources, we help sector workers build practical skills and stay current on emerging issues, from dual diagnosis to medication management, so every organisation across the Territory has access to development opportunities regardless of size or location.

Membership

Membership opens the door to a deeper layer of support, peer learning through our Community of Practice, structured e-learning, supervision and leadership development, and a library of ready to use resources. It's practical, sector specific tools built by and for the people doing this work, designed to save time and strengthen practice at every level.

Events & Annual Conference

Each year, AADANT brings the sector together, through our flagship conference, the AOD Awards, and events held across the Territory. These are the moments the sector connects face to face, celebrates its people, and builds the relationships that make collaborative work possible year round.
AADANT proudly acknowledges the Larrakia people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our office stands and the waterways we view. We extend this acknowledgement to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia and pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
This activity is supported by funding from the Australian Government through the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
