We offer advocacy, training, networking opportunities, resources, and support to enhance the capacity and effectiveness of AOD services.

We engage with policymakers, contribute to policy discussions, and collaborate with other stakeholders to influence and improve AOD policies and practices.

We provide information on funding opportunities and support members in preparing grant applications.

While we do not provide direct treatment services, we can connect individuals with member organisations that offer support and treatment for substance use issues. Please contact the 24/7 Alcohol & Drug Information Service - 1800 131 350

We organise our annual AADANT conferences, workshops, webinars, and networking events to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the AOD sector for our members.

We offer various training programs on topics such as harm reduction, treatment approaches, cultural competence, and best practices in AOD service delivery.

Harm reduction refers to strategies and practices aimed at minimising the negative health, social, and legal impacts associated with drug use. AADANT supports harm reduction through advocacy, education, and promoting best practices.

We work closely with Indigenous organisations and communities to ensure culturally appropriate AOD services and advocate for policies that address the specific needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

AADANT proudly acknowledges the Larrakia people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our office stands and the waterways we view. We extend this acknowledgement to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia and pay our respects to Elders past, present and future.
This activity is supported by funding from the Australian Government through the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
